APPLY
Tell us what you know, what you’d like to teach, and when you’re available.

PREPARE
Complete TeachForth onboarding and learn how to teach effectively. Coding tutors receive a structured curriculum and teaching resources.

TEACH
Join a TeachForth community as a Community Tutor and begin working directly with students.

GROW
Build approved teaching hours and take on more independent tutoring, mentoring, and leadership opportunities.
All new tutors begin as Community Tutors. After 20 approved teaching hours and review, tutors can become Independent Tutors and take on additional mentoring and leadership opportunities.

A few things to know before you apply
Do I need previous teaching experience?
No. You don’t need previous teaching experience. We’re looking for students who know their subject, communicate well, are willing to learn, and can make a reliable commitment to the students they teach. TeachForth provides onboarding, guidance, and teaching resources to help you get started.
How are my volunteer hours tracked?
All tutors begin by teaching in TeachForth community classrooms. You’ll use our teaching, booking, and reporting portal to schedule sessions, submit teaching reports, and track your approved volunteer hours. As you gain experience and complete more hours, additional tutoring, mentoring, and leadership opportunities become available.
