Terms and Conditions for Becoming a Volunteer Teacher:
1. Eligibility
– Must be a current high school student or above.
– Must have basic proficiency in computer science concepts.
– Must complete the application process through the application form provided on the TeachForth website.
2. Commitment
– Volunteers are expected to commit to a minimum of 20 hours per school year for tutoring.
– Volunteers must attend an initial training session and periodic check-ins as scheduled by TeachForth.
3. Conduct
– Volunteers must adhere to TeachForth’s code of conduct, maintaining professionalism, respect, and inclusivity at all times.
– Any form of harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate behavior will result in immediate termination of volunteer status.
4. Confidentiality
– Volunteers must maintain the confidentiality of all students and their information.
– Sharing any student information outside of the TeachForth platform is strictly prohibited.
5. Reporting and Feedback:
– Volunteers must provide regular updates on student progress and any issues encountered during tutoring sessions. Student reporting tools are provided by TeachForth.
– Volunteers are encouraged to provide feedback to help improve the program.
6. Certification and Recognition:
– Volunteers will receive an official letter verifying their volunteer hours at the end of each TeachForth semester on June 1. This letter can be used to meet various requirements such as school credit, community service hours, or personal records..
– Outstanding volunteers may be eligible for additional awards and recognition.
7. Termination
– TeachForth reserves the right to terminate volunteer status at any time for non-compliance with these terms and conditions or any other TeachForth policies.
Terms and Conditions for Becoming a Sponsor
1. Eligibility
– Organizations and individuals can apply to become sponsors.
– Sponsors must complete the sponsorship agreement form available on the TeachForth website.
2. Sponsorship Levels:
2.1 Individual Sponsors:
– May sponsor one or more students.
– Each student sponsorship requires a $200 yearly donation, which is tax-deductible through TeachForth’s 501(c)(3) status.
2.2 Organization Sponsors:
– Must sponsor a minimum of five students, which requires a $1,000 yearly donation, tax-deductible through TeachForth’s 501(c)(3) status.
– Any additional student sponsorship requires a $200 yearly donation per student, which is also tax-deductible.
3. Commitment
– Sponsors are expected to fulfill their financial commitments as agreed upon in the sponsorship agreement.
– Sponsorship contributions are non-refundable. Donations will be collected upon a student’s acceptance into the program and matching with a volunteer teacher.
4. Use of Funds:
– Funds received from sponsors will be used to support TeachForth programs, including but not limited to training materials, technology resources, and student scholarships.
– Sponsors may request a report on how their funds have been utilized.
5. Recognition:
– Sponsors will receive recognition based on their sponsorship level, which may include mentions on the TeachForth website, social media, and promotional materials.
– Specific recognition details will be outlined in the sponsorship agreement.
6. Termination:
– Either party may terminate the sponsorship agreement with 30 days’ written notice.
– In case of termination, any unused funds will be returned to the sponsor, unless otherwise agreed upon.
7. Confidentiality:
– Sponsors must maintain the confidentiality of any sensitive information received during the sponsorship term.
– TeachForth will not disclose any sponsor’s confidential information without prior consent.
8. Compliance:
– Sponsors must comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
– TeachForth reserves the right to terminate the sponsorship agreement if the sponsor engages in activities that are inconsistent with TeachForth’s mission and values.
